Young Artists creates environments that nurture artists and build long-term careers for them.
We are based in London but represent a number of artists who live in Los Angeles.
We are looking for someone to manage the day-to-day responsibilities of these artists while maintaining excellent communication with each artist’s Senior Managers and the wider team of young artists in the UK.
You will manage communications between the artist, their manager, and their team, including their label, live agent, publishing house, merch partner, attorney, and accountant. Your main responsibility will be to represent the best interests of the artists at all times.
You will need to understand each artist’s creative vision and our strategy to make it a reality while maintaining a reliable administrative base. The position requires a versatile, adaptable and flexible person, able to work on several projects at the same time.
Alongside managers, you will be the first point of contact for artists with immediate access to all artist-related assets and be able to get responses to urgent requests. As a Young Artists employee outside the UK, you will need to be comfortable working remotely from the main team and in a different time zone. The ideal candidate is someone who can not only respond to management but actively drive the artist’s administration, requests and communication.
Your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
// Clear, structured and regular communication with managers and the Young Artists team
// Regular communication with each artist and their extended teams
// Keeping a shared diary for the artist
// Planning and booking travel and accommodation
// Reservation of studios and rental of equipment for recording sessions
// Realization of schedules, itineraries and artists’ day sheets
// Management and search for approval on all requests
// Maintain a detailed synchronization log
// Oversight of all recording and touring budgets
// Managing artists’ social media strategy, creation and execution
// Processing of invoices and dunning of sums due
// Travel with the artist to key promotional and live events
// Secure storage of all artist assets online
// Oversee artist merchandising
// Managing meeting agendas, notes and action points
// Representation of the artist during meetings with label partners
During the first 3 months, you will:
// Build a relationship with the artists
// Identify the best way to communicate with artists
// Create agendas and distribute notes for weekly management meetings
// Set up the artist’s journal
// Update each artist’s file
Please include a description of your proudest achievement in an artist management role in no more than 500 words.
