Legendary Chimurenga musician, Thomas Mapfumo has endorsed Diaspora Insurance, urging Zimbabweans living abroad to sign up for the company’s insurance products.
Diaspora Insurance specializes in the development and distribution of insurance products and risk management solutions for African expatriates.

Over the years, a number of Zimbabweans have found themselves stranded after losing a family member living abroad and had to turn to crowdfunding through the Go Fund Me platform for repatriation on foot and bills funeral.

Speaking in an interview with musician Nox Guni, Mapfumo’s affectionate nickname Mukanya urged Zimbabweans abroad to register with Diaspora Insurance so that they can get financial assistance in case of death or loss of a loved one.
He said: “It is important for Zimbabwean expats to sit down and find ways to address the issue of restoring expenses in the event of death. When a person lives abroad, they want to be buried at home when they die and sometimes their family cannot afford the repatriation of their body. It is therefore crucial that the diasporas register with Diaspora Insurance, which covers these expenses.
