PRS For Music – Head of International Partners – Emerging Markets (UK)

We have an exciting opportunity for an International Partner Manager (IPM) to join us on a permanent basis. This position will work an average of 3 days from home and 1-2 days from our London Bridge office.

We collectively manage the rights to musical works on behalf of over 150,000 members and wWe pay them royalties when their work is performed, broadcast, streamed, downloaded, reproduced, played in public, or used in film and television. We support them by influencing policy, supporting and organizing awards and events, and investing in new technologies to ensure we are ready for the digital music era.

About the role

Due to a change in the international team, we are looking for a Strategic and Analytical Partner Manager to join us on a permanent basis to support the Africa and Middle East regions.

Tasks will include, but are limited to:
  • Identify business opportunities, resulting in increased revenue in the Middle East and Africa regions.
  • Responsible for continuous real-time intelligence on market developments with assigned partners (“AP”).
  • Monitor and analyze PA financial performance and provide analysis of budget variances.
  • Act as day-to-day contact on all issues with PAs and develop relationships with counterparts.
  • Assist the Partnership Development Manager in identifying business opportunities and risks with PAs.
  • Participate in negotiations with PAs.
  • Provide monthly financial performance and business intelligence reports on hotspots.
  • Manage and respond to hotspot queries in collaboration with Operations Specialists, as well as hotspot member queries.
  • Submit and manage claims for the hotspot royalty claims team.
  • Ensure you are able to maintain and build strong relationships, ensuring transparent and efficient work operations, while planning, developing and implementing effective sales strategies for both regions.
About you

The ideal candidate for this position will have a good understanding of the industry with a focus on commercialization, account and stakeholder management. You will be an agile thinker and quick learner able to work collaboratively with external/internal teams and key partners.

Relevant experience in a similar role

Preferred qualifications:

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent experience
  • Business experience in the sub-region
  • Existing relationships with access points
  • Understanding of rights management and music systems
  • Proven written communication skills
  • Understanding Financial Statements
