Elvis Adidiema was appointed director of Sony Music Francophone Africa.

Adidiema took up his effective post on November 2 and will be based between Paris and Abidjan, in Côte d’Ivoire.

His appointment was announced by the general manager of Sony Music Entertainment France, Marie-Anne Robert, in an internal email, obtained by MBW.

In 2016, Adidiema was appointed editor-in-chief of the French music channel Trace TV, which is dedicated to playing and broadcasting music from Africa.

Two years later, in 2018, Adidiema became Trace TV’s A&R manager.

Robert notes that in this role, Adidiema played a key role in the development of artists such as Joe Dwet File and Fally Ipupa among others.

His other ventures include the OUENZE MUSIC label, which he created with Serge Ibaka, scoring a platinum single with artist Ninho.

Previously, he also managed artists such as Innoss B, Ya Levis and Heritier Wata.

Marie-Anne Robert was appointed Managing Director of Sony Music Entertainment France in September with the mission of supervising all operations, signatures and acquisitions.

“Elvis brings an impressive 360-degree experience to our business, overseeing all business operations in the region and developing new artist opportunities for the Francophone African market.”
