Take ownership of the recorded music business of AEI and its highly respected dance and electronic artists and labels. Lead and manage the recording team and establish a workflow that maximizes the success of releases across the group. You will evaluate and negotiate new business, improve efficiency and profitability, oversee budgets and ensure the development and success of our artists, labels, partners and team.

  • Lead and manage the recorded music team through distribution, licensing and releases
  • Oversee all commercial and administrative elements of registration activity
  • Strategic planning with the music manager: definition of objectives, analysis and reporting
  • Oversee, approve and forecast budgets for all high priority releases
  • Manage AEI’s registration schedule, ensuring the workload is distributed efficiently
  • Use AEI’s internal data and analytics tools to inform sales and marketing decisions
  • Maintain and develop systems and best practices for efficient operations
  • Manage external relations with promotion teams and DSPs
  • Liaise directly with artist management from inception to post-release
  • Liaise with internal AEI publishing, product and event departments
  • Raise the profile of AEI’s Records Division with the wider industry (participation in conferences, etc.)

(Tasks may include but are not limited to those listed above)

  • At least five years of music industry experience within a distributor or rights holder with senior level label management experience in dance music, ideally in alternative and pop genres crusaders
  • Experience managing a multi-faceted music team and key stakeholders
  • Ability to plan, prioritize and manage multiple labels and projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines with strong attention to detail
  • A strong passion for electronic music, attentive to new trends
  • Strong existing relationships in the electronic music industry
  • A proven track record in managing and delivering successful music campaigns
  • Good knowledge of the current UK and global music market, digital landscape and trends and the physical distribution supply chain
  • Comfortable working in a creative environment, with a drive to drive innovation and a forward-thinking mindset
  • Proactive, with the ability to stay motivated while working independently with an entrepreneurial spirit
  • 4 day work week
  • Remote and flexible working (must have the ability to attend team meetings in GMT)
  • London-based workspaces including access to studios in the Bankstock Building and the halley along the canal in Haggerston
  • After 6 months of probation, unlimited vacation pay, plus additional personal days and flexible observance of religious holidays
