The artwork was created by his son, Mike Rivera, and a few other artists. Rivera says this mural is by far the most special to him.
“I just feel like this is a chance for a fresh start,” Rivera said.
“It’s got to be one of my favorites just because it shows you Jenni, where she started as a kid and then in the middle, as she struggles to succeed as an artist, and I think that’s just very inspiring,” said Jacqie Rivera, Jenni Rivera’s daughter.
“What I love about this mural is that the principal dresses in blue, and blue tends to represent a lot of themes like loyalty and sadness,” said Johnny Lopez, the youngest son. by Jenni Rivera. “I think that fits perfectly with what our life has been like this year.”
“I want to send a big thank you to Tetris and JP who played a big part in all of this and I couldn’t have done it without them,” Rivera said. “It’s for everyone. And I just hope the fans brighten their day, every time they come to visit us.”
